What Are Piers?

Helical Piers

Galvanized Helical Piers / Anchors are installed hydraulically and require no excavation. Helical piers, installed for compression and tension, provide the solution for unstable soils, high water tables or expansive soils. Helical piers / anchors are installed for new construction as well as for underpinning existing foundations and tiebacks. Park Range installs a range of helical piers / anchors including solid shafts and tubular shafts with one or a combination of helice plates and a variety of brackets.

Tiebacks

Tiebacks, installed for tension, are used for new construction, foundation wall stabilization, retaining walls, shoring, bridges, light standards, signs, equipment platforms and guy wires.

Steel Resistance Piers

Resistance Piers are hydraulically installed to underpin existing foundations for stabilizing or re-leveling structures. Resistance piers / push piles are an excellent choice for underpinning and shoring existing structures. The piers are filled with grout and threaded bar and are installed vertically and adjacent to the foundation walls. The underpinning bracket is attached to the existing foundation for stabilization or re-leveling. These end-bearing piers are also ideal for shoring when excavating next to or near existing foundations. Park Range has been installing resistance piers for over 25 years.

The traditional concrete method of installing foundations can be replaced with a greener and more economical solution, a foundation system of galvanized helical piers or resistance piers. By doing this you can save money and time as well. If a sensitive eco-system is your concern, this is a wonderful option.

Micropiles

Park Range has been installing micropiles for several years. Installation applications include new foundation support, underpinning existing structures, battered piles, shoring and tiebacks.
Park Range installs both solid and hollow bar micropiles with tremmie grout.
